Jaime Velez is a Multi-Platinum, Grammy Award-Winning Recording & Mix Engineer and Co-Founder/Co-Owner of Blackwood Studios in Los Angeles.

As a recording and mix engineer, Jaime has worked with a wide variety of artists such as Lizzo, Khalid, Demi Lovato, Normani, The Chainsmokers, Tayla Parx, Prince Royce, Janelle Monae, and Daya. In 2014, Jaime became a Co-Founder and Co-Owner of Blackwood Studios. He acquired his first Grammy nomination for Reggae Album of the Year in 2015 and won his first Grammy in 2017 for "Don't Let Me Down" by The Chainsmokers ft Daya and has continued to acquire multi-platinum plaques for many Billboard Hot 100 and Top 10 artists. His work on "Love Lies" by Khalid and Normani, reached #1 on Top 40 radio.
